At Embassy Summer Schools in Canterbury and London. International students of a variety of levels, in addition to activity leading and other organisational duties. Managed week-long courses and activities tying in competitions, afternoon trip preparation and cultural education. Contract was extended until school closure of school at end of summer.

At Simao Middle School 2 of Yunnan province, Yuenhe Middle School 1 of Jiangsu province and Tangshan Middle School 2 of Hebei province, China, respectively. Full time teacher of English to 20 different classes per week to a total of five different grades. Involved in all aspects of the school day from planning to marking. Also took part in sporting events, English speaking competitions and so on.

At California Language Center, Khon Kaen, Thailand. Courses varied hugely in content, but particular areas of teaching experience gained here were general conversation, academic reading and writing, and business English. As a private English school, I taught children, teenagers, university students, factory workers, nurses and other local professionals.

Freelance editor of formal English for a private client in Thailand, and formerly for a university in Thailand and post-grad students in the UK. Most work based on English press releases and correspondence, contracts and presentations. I have written-up formal academic papers for outside clients.

Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology ~ 2001-2004
University of Bath, 2001 to 2004, class 2:1 (hons). A unit-based course, with specialist tutoring in sociological theory, criminology, psychology. Dissertation was a research project on women and ethnicity, involving in-depth interviews.
