TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

English Instruction: I am presently in Dammam Saudi Arabia teaching General English to beginner, elementary and pre-intermediate levels. I also taught Business English to intermediate level students. Previously I was in Kayseri, Turkey teaching various levels of English mostly to university students. Previously I taught various levels and age groups at the Language Link in Shakhty, Russia. I also helped students at various levels from the State University prepare for City and Guilds testing. I also worked one summer at a Language Camp for Children. I provided daily lessons and helped my group of students prepare for daily presentations and performances. 

Karate Instructor: I have worked with and instructed children from 5-16 years of age for several years in the area of self-defense and traditional Karate. I was responsible for leading the class warm up and effectively demonstrating the instruction of technique. I consider myself very knowledgeable within this discipline and have won several awards in competition. I am confident I have both the patience and skills necessary to teach both simple to complex concepts to students of all ages as I have worked diligently to establish a solid rapport with my students. 

Realtor/Sales Representative: As a Realtor/Real Estate Sales Representative I was constantly working with clients and educating them about the real estate market in my city Ottawa, Ontario. I promoted myself using flyer distribution on target areas and effective website management. I identified the needs of my clients by learning about them and what they were looking for. I prepared offers and offered opinions on value.  I also assisted them in other areas such as obtaining financing and informed them about incentive programs they may qualify for. For my clients selling property, I listed their homes on MLS and created effective advertising, provided opinions on value and staging. As a realtor I followed a very strict code of ethics as set out by the Real Estate Council of Ontario.

Territory Manager/Account Manager: Previous to Real Estate experience, I worked as a Territory Manager for a medical company and consulted customers in the area of First Aid and Safety.  I serviced and replenished first aid cabinets and eye wash systems. I also worked several years for Shaw Dental Laboratories. At Shaw Dental Laboratories I informed and educated clients on new technologies and procedures relating to the fabrication of prosthetic appliances. I also organized seminars and continued education programs for my clients and created a newsletter to periodically inform them about news in the industry. Prior to this position I worked as an Account Manager for C.C.H Canadian Ltd. (legal publisher) calling on legal and accounting firms and other business and government professionals. I am familiar with business language and practices. I attended trade shows for both Shaw Dental Laboratories and C.C.H Canadian Ltd to educate and support clients about the services we offered to them. 

Self Employed: I was the owner of an asphalt repair and paving company. I assisted customers design projects for interlock and provided scale drawings and estimates. I also renovated homes for re-sale. I also trained staff and worked closely with them to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

I am a graduate of the TESOL certification program from United TESOL International College of Teacher Training in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. My TESOL certification includes refreshment in teaching English Grammar and a specialization in teaching, Business English. I hold a certification from the Ontario Real Estate College from my province of Ontario and am licensed to sell Real Estate as a result of successfully completing this program. I completed a Business Marketing Management Program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario. 

I also hold my Secondary School Diploma from Darcy McGee High School located in Gatineau, Canada. I was an elected member of the student council and a high school team captain. I was responsible for organizing school activities, fund raising and various student campaigns and coached a school team to become a top achiever. I also received honors in various subjects such as English, French, Physical Education, Biology and other courses during my time there. I also played music in a band at local dances. I have also participated in several selling courses, which helped improve my communication skills and product knowledge. I also enjoy writing and I have written 2 self- help/inspirational books.
