Bradfield College, UK – ESL teacher for Italian students from the 1st of July till the 13th of August 2015.
Voluntary teacher assistant at ‘Moise Nicoara’ National College, Arad, Romania (27/04/2015 – 08/05/2015)
Duties: taught and assisted English classes at ‘Moise Nicoara’ National College for the 5th grade (11-12 years old), 9th grade (15-16 years old), 10th grade (16-17 years old), 11th grade (17-18 years old) and 12th grade (18-19 years old)
As a student ambassador for the Humanities Department I was engaged in two projects as a teacher:
Mother Tongue Other Tongue – a poetry competition aimed at children 10-13.
Duties:
 Introduce the project by engaging pupils with poetry
 Create a lesson plan – using warmers, icebreakers, games
 Delivered 3 sessions to 3 different groups
Introduction to Philosophy seminar – engage teenagers 13-16 with the perspective of studying philosophy
Duties:
 Brief introduction to what philosophy is
 Create a debate environment to discuss some of the key philosophical subjects (e.g.: freedom)
Private Tutor English (2009-2014)
I had a number of different students from a range of countries and tailored lessons in accordance to their individual needs. All my students were university students and the teaching was mostly focused on writing skills that can be applied in essay writing. I also taught students who were aiming to start university. I prepared students for IELTS, TOEFL and CAE.
