Personal Statement
Dear Dean, Principal or univertity foreign affairs officers:
I have been in and out of the P R C for over 18 years in which I have completed over 18 contracts as an English oral educator in all levels from kindergarten, primary, high school, college, university and tutor to a few CEO of large corporations. And at this time, I have been very keen in observing the loopholes and set back’s of oral english teachings,and I have concluded the reasons why, I believe ” the students oral progress is not up to par with their reading and writing skills level. and With my annalogical astuteness and logical engineering “fra meset” of mind, I have this opinions, that the basic chinese education system for oral English teaching is antiquated and needs quite a few reforms. In this system which was written “back in the days” of old China, “back in the days”of letters, faxes and telegraghs where China mostly communicated to the outside world in this forms. Where eye to eye, lip to lip confrontation were minimal, so the testing and examination procedures were target at meeting the required needs of those past times (at most academic professional business political arenas.. ect), we did not need to communicate in person, but times are changing now, “and in every field…!! I feel that in the new 21 st century of the “up” and coming surge of the Chines e youth,this youth surely needs better oral English to meet new China’s
Giant leap forward into the new globalized-united world theatre., So the same strict emphasis, that are now lay out for getting high returns and great levels of proficiency in reading and writing should be absolutely enforce too in oral English. Using present day available technology and every day, fun modern day means, such as giving out oral homework assignments and outside oral activities for students to tape record or video record to bring into classroom for teacher to do oral correction for every single student (in his after classroom off –d uty time) and other’s such, as oral english movies’ s home work,oral sports video’s homework,girl/boy courting oral english scrips homework., daily news-english oral homework[t.v.]e.c.t…ect…ect. I have carry this method in a few sorties in China and this has always been well-received and appreciated by my students with significant improvement in their oral English.
Another important factor in good oral and comprehension English teaching is for the teacher to take or perform a student personal poll/survey of the topics that they would like to listen and speak the most about, then we can gather this material of their preferences. With this we can guarantee that we can have a good enthusiastic lovely-lively classroom environment with alert students involvement .
P.S.- with a few less sleeping throught their class, as many do today, through out boring lectures, that
are not in my forte . This I will deliver to you .
