Katerina is an entrepreneur and co-founder of a thriving cartoon and creative design studio based in Beijing. She has been in China for 8 years.

During college Katerina participated in a Chinese language competition and won the first prize – a scholarship to come to China and study Mandarin.  After completing her studies in China, Katerina stayed for work. Her work experiences range from Start-ups all the way up to Fortune 500 companies. During her 8 years in China, she has taught business and daily-use English to individuals of various age groups.  Among these have been business executives, government officials, groups of employees from Fortune 500 companies.

Eight years in China have given Katerina the chance to meet many influential people from the business world and the government. This has allowed her to expand her network of contacts; some of which have supported her future efforts. Having gained a profound insight into the Chinese culture, and having mastered the Chinese language to almost native fluency, in 2013 Katerina set on an adventure to start her own business with her fiancée (an English-American) who is a very talented artist.

Katerina is now in her 3^rd year of running and managing her own business in Beijing.  Most of Katerina’s time is spent overseeing business operations and providing a strategic vision by means of her solid business acumen.  She provides management and guidance to the people that work with her, nurturing them to succeed on their own terms.  Most of her company’s marketing and business development strategies are the result of her individual efforts.  She started her brand from absolutely nothing, but now she has a solid brand concept that has inspired and gained the support of thousands. Her company’s rapid climb toward success in China is partly attributed to the fact that Katerina has spent over eight years in the country. 

In 2015 Katerina was invited to participate in famous “Entrepreneurship” programs such as China Central TV (Finance Channel) CCTV2：“创业英雄汇“.  She attracted the attention of various national and international media outlets including CCTV2, CCTV4, eBeijing.gov.cn (the Beijing city government’s official website), BON Media, The People’s Daily, etc. This has resulted in the filming and release of television programs that highlight her brand’s market potential.

Among other successes in 2015, Katerina attended and won 3 national competitions for “China Entrepreneurship and Innovation” 

Katerina has given speeches to share the secrets of her success (both in English and Chinese) to various audiences, these include students of (China Academy of Arts (美术学院)，China University of Technology (工业大学)，entrepreneurial organizations at INNOway (中关村创业大街)，government organized events, as well as foreign companies in China whose goal is to create successful strategy for penetrating the Chinese market. 

Having grown up and lived on three different continents, Katerina now speaks 3 languages and is therefore very familiar and experienced with second language acquisition. This experience has made her an open minded individual who is easy to get along with regardless of age and culture. Her teaching methods are very flexible and her approach is tailored to meet the student’s needs. She is a very effective communicator, and a goal-oriented person who devotes her heart and passion to all her efforts. In the past eight years Katerina has developed a proven record of helping her students achieve visible results in a short period of time.

-         Business English Teacher: * Fortune 500 company:

Taught business English lessons to company Directors and Regional Sales Managers as an employee of a Fortune 500 Company.

Focus: Sales Management, Business presentation, Negotiation, Social Interaction, Listening, Speaking, Writing, Reading.

Achievements: Created a Corporate Skills project guideline to help managers and sales reps effectively improve performance. This project was quickly adopted by management and implemented company-wide. Target Course sets included “Strategic Thinking”, “Decision Making”, “Negotiation”,   “Leadership”, “People Development”, “Communication” etc.

-         Group Business English Teacher: *Fortune 500 Companies:  

During this time Katerina worked with groups of executives, training them to improve business English skills in order to aid team cohesion and communication during teleconferences with executives and colleagues from Global Headquarters; as well as dealings with foreign clients.

-         One-on-One business & Daily-use English training:  

Katerina has taught Business & Daily-use English lessons to professionals from national and multinational companies in various industries. Previous students range from college students all the way to government officials.

-         Entrepreneurship experience:  

Over the course of her entrepreneurial experience in China, Katerina has hosted many training sessions and workshops for her team, and has given many speeches for a variety of occasions. Topics include:
