During this time I worked with a range of international students assisting them in preparation for their IELTS examination.

During my time here I managed and taught five classes. One kindergarten (ages 3-6) three junior classes (ages 7-11) and one senior class ages (12-16).

New oriental is the largest training school in China with over 400 branches in over 50 cities! It was an absolute privilege to work here. I was the only foreign teacher within the Fuzhou branches, I taught students of all ages, and occasionally taught adults.  

Maple leaf international school

11/2015 - 06/2016 

Wuhan maple leaf school is a reputable Canadian international school, I came in half way through the first semester, but basically completed an academic year. During my time here I taught grades 4 and 5 and feel I have grown more as a teacher here. I would have liked to continue on teaching here, however new provincial regulations were imposed prohibiting non-native speakers from teaching. As my partner is Non-native and was also working at the same school… We have had no choice but to move on. We are looking forward to a new exciting teaching opportunity in another province where such regulations don’t exist.
