Nancy L. Rafalko is an ESL Instructor in the Preparatory Year Program of the University of Dammam, where she has focused on teaching English language skills for the last four years.  She has exceptional range in teaching a variety of learner levels, as well as experience in teaching the various courses offered in PYP English in the University of Dammam system.  Her recent activities include teaching General English at the advanced level, serving as coordinator among academic and administrative offices within the PYP, English Department, and University.  She also provides teacher support in curriculum, testing, and materials development within the Women’s Division of the University and edits the school newspaper of the Preparatory Year for the female division of the Rakah campus.

Nancy has taught beginner and intermediate levels of English at several women’s campuses within the UoD system, including Dammam Community College and Qatif Community College.  She has participated in test writing and most recently has created rubrics and grading materials for several examinations, primarily in the area of essay writing, across all levels.  She has taught and participated in the preparation of materials for courses in English for Health Professions, English for Business, and English for Science Professions at the University of Dammam.  

Nancy is a regular participant in professional development seminars at the University of Dammam and regularly holds staff meetings with the female Health Track teaching staff to provide teacher support in the areas of curriculum and assessment.  She lives in Tobayshi District in Dammam and still maintains a mail forwarding address in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She is a U.S. citizen and a native speaker of English.
