I am responsible for creating weekly lesson plans for three separate classes and recording assignments in a computerized grading system. I am teaching English III, AP Literature and Composition, and Creative Writing. I also teach World Literature I and II as concurrent college credit through Ozarka College. I previously taught AP Language and Composition as well as Journalism. I actively planned, collaborated, interpreted, and systematized ELA Common Core State Standards for the Highland School District’s English department. I administer the ACT test to 11th grade students once a year.

I taught English III, AP Literature and Composition, and Structures of Grammar. I created internet based assignments and recorded grades in a computerized grading system. I utilized differentiated learning techniques to teach concepts such as punctuation, misplaced modifiers, and subject-verb agreement. I adapted lesson plans for English Language Learners.
