Teaching Experience

Over thirty five years of teaching experience, eighteen teaching ESL to:

Students at Canterbury University, Christchurch, New Zealand

Adults in Community Programs, Auckland, New Zealand

Employees of various multinational companies e.g. Philips, ABN-AMRO, TNT, Regal-Beloit, Leoni, Schlumberger, Nanotec, Aventics, MacMic

Children, university students and professionals in Cambodia and the last four and half years in China.

Curriculum Development

For most of the above programs I developed the content of the courses, taking into account the English and Academic levels as well as the cultural background of the individual students and groups and their specific learning objectives.

Teacher Training

During most of my career I’ve developed and delivered training programs for adults to provide them with the necessary skills to become teachers themselves in various settings. The most recent ones were in China, where I taught teachers interactive teaching skills.

Coaching, Workshops and Seminars

For the last fifteen years I have combined my teaching work with a number of coaching activities, both as a personal and business coach. In the latter capacity I delivered trainings to professionals covering communication proficiency, personal development and management- and leadership skills.
