I’m currently working in an English language school in Hangzhou, China. I teach children between the ages of four and sixteen, and I also on occasion teach adult classes. The school promoted me to foreign teacher supervisor during my first year, and more recently to teaching manager. This role involves interviewing potential new teachers, appointing suitable candidates, and then training them on arrival. In addition to teaching my own classes I also observe other teachers’ classes and hold regular meetings with them, with the objective of increasing the quality of our lessons.
HOBBIES/INTERESTS
I have a strong passion for travelling, I lived and worked in Italy for three years, I have also enjoyed recent visits to Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. I have a keen interest in sport; I play football, tennis, badminton, and enjoy the occasional skiing trip. I also enjoy reading and creative writing.
