July 2015- August 2016                                                                     Triangle Pre School- London, England

Pre School Teacher

During my time at Triangle Pre School, I was responsible for designing a phonics curriculum and teaching this curriculum through fun and interactive lessons. My students at Triangle Pre School were 2-3 year olds so my main focus was ensuring the students were excited about learning as this is a crucial age in a child’s development.  More of my duties as a preschool teacher included engaging parents and creating healthy relationships with students and faculty to help create a quality learning environment, following and complying with teaching standards and safety regulations, cooperate with administration staff, staying in constant communication with the parents by writing progress reports and notes or phone calls home and organizing learning material and resources.

September 2016 – September 2017                                                          First Leap - Beijing, China

ESL Teacher

At First Leap, I taught English to children aged 3-12 through a range of subjects such as world culture, maths, science, book reading, music, art, p.e, global leadership and drama. The skills that I used the most during my time at First Leap included being very organised - Every lesson was meticulously planned beforehand to ensure that the class would run as smoothly as possible. Materials needed for the class were collected and prepared before class time, to be used efficiently within the class. For every lesson I had extensive knowledge of lesson objectives- including both the key components of language and integrated objectives to ensure students gained a greater understanding of concepts and the world.  Outside of the classroom, i maintained communication with the parents and students at home ensuring the parents were informed about what I was teaching, and that students could review and practice at home sufficiently. I also made sure to have homework ready for the students to complete, which was expediently marked and given back to the students afterwards.

Tutor

My role as a tutor included communicating with the student’s parents to find out what the parents would like the lessons to focus on then designing lessons based on this. I would travel to the student’s houses, ensuring I was on time and teach the lesson. I would then issue homework to the student depending on what I feel they need more time studying on. Typically, each student would have 2 hour classes every week. I would communicate with the parents through WeChat to ensure the students are reviewing the keywords and key concepts of the class. Lesson subjects that I taught include science, phonics, creative writing and mathematics.

October 2017 – February 2018                                                               Teach Away

Online Teacher

Working with Teach Away, my job role was an online teacher. I delivered classes to students online through a camera. I interacted with students through email, message boards, chat rooms or via virtual reality platforms and software. I also posted video or audio lectures online, and provided my students with downloadable materials. As an online teacher, I needed to be flexible, as I was expected to answer student’s questions in a timely manner. More of my duties included presenting lessons and to attentively listen and answer students’ questions, setting up schedules of classes, make detailed reports, answering phone calls, solving grades of students, regular contact with student through web, determining student’s development and progress and rating performances of students

February 2018- July 2018                                                                             Easy Kindergarten- Beijing, China

Kindergarten Teacher

While working for Easy Kindergarten, I was the main kindergarten teacher. My duties included designing and following a complete teaching plan, explaining new ideas and unfamiliar concepts with authority and in a clear and concise way so that students can understand, use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities, maintaining constant communication with the student’s parents, adapting to different learning styles to get the most out of each student, teach alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills, assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis, monitoring children’s interactions and nurturing cooperation and sharing and following and complying with teaching standards and safety regulations.
