(September 2018 – Present)

 

I was brought to China through an agency (Teach TEFL in China), who placed my at my current school.

I teach K1, the youngest children at the Kindergarten.

It has been great to see their language skills develop over the months.

I am quite an energetic and enthusiastic person and bring this into my teaching.

As they are so young, my classes involve a lot of Flashcards, role-play games, PPT presentations, songs, dancing and music.

The school follows the “KikiNono" curriculum which I use in my lesson planning.

When I’m not teaching, my office hours are used to review workbooks, make and prepare teaching materials and write future lesson plans.

 

PreSchool Teacher, Davies Education Centre, Swaansea, UK

(November 2017- September 2018)

 

Davies Education Centre is a PreSchool learning environment that educated young children before they go to Primary School.

This position gave me a great introduction to the teaching profession.

We expanded the children’s grasp of the English Language, expanding on their already good comprehension of the language as well as numbers and basic reading.

The centre had a focus of outside learning and children were encouraged to embrace nature in their everyday learning. Many classes were held outside when the weather was ok.

 

 

Assistant Manager, Showcase Cinema De Lux, Southampton.

(October 2016 – November 2017)

 

As a duty manager, I’m reasonable for overseeing the day to day running of a large, successful Cinema (The most technically advanced cinema in Europe with 10 screens- all with digital projectors and Dolby Atmos sound system and fully reclining leather seats as standard) in the heart of the city centre with over 100 staff. As well as ensuring the cinema is operational at all times, and that the guest experience is consistently at the highest standard and meets the expectations the consumers expect from our De Lux branding; I’m reasonable for the decision making and running of our two bars. The Lounge Bar is open to all cinema guests, while the Mayflower Bar is exclusively used for our VIP guests as part of the Gallery Package. The bars and VIP service I operate are fiscally very successful, not only within our site, but comparable within the company.

I also take part in our daily walkarounds, to ensure the building is at the highest standard and reports any maintenance issues or general wear and tear to our onsite handyman.

My position enables me to set my own workload while ensuring strict declines are met. Tracking sales, stock, labour costs and general bar performance is a major part of my job as well as ensuring the department is fully compliant with H&S and licensing regulations.

Being such a large and successful business, we adhere to an extremely strict cash handling procedure and enforce any breaches strongly.

I’m confident in the VISTA booking and POS system used within the cinema industry.

 

Store Manager, Subway, Southampton.

(October 2012 – October 2016)

 

Reasonable for overseeing the day to day running of a large, fast service restaurant .and 13 staff. Leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast paced restaurant environment.  Ensuring the store is operational at all times and that the food sold is consistently at the highest standard and meets the expectations the consumers expect from such a well-known brand. Ensuring the store is within budget, making sure the spending of labour and purchasing of stock doesn’t exceed a percentage of the current month’s gross sales. Making sure staff are trained to a high standard and deal with any staffing issues. Creating weekly rotas, using the previous week’s sales figures to ensure the productivity target is met. Preparing weekly files (sales figures, payroll and weekly stock count) and sending them to HQ, the franchisee, area/ operations manager and accounts manager.

Being accountable for every aspect of the store; the finances, stock, staff and overall reputation. The store is evaluated every month from HQ without notice and must stay compliant, failure to keep a high standard can cause the closure of said store; so standards must be kept high at all times, without exception. I’m a highly experienced professional who possess the required level of management skills; I know what’s needed to inspire, lead, develop and motivate staff.
