I have been teaching IELTS reading, writing, vocabulary and speaking lessons for the past six months on an international programme which sees middle school students preparing for eventual IELTS exams and study abroad.

At this university, teachers lent oral English workshops an IELTS ethos by trying to gauge the English ability of the students by the use of an IELTS scoring rubric.  Teaching centred on conversations about certain IELTS exam questions.

I was teaching non-English majors oral English, with a curriculum emphasising cultural exchange between East and West.

I achieved a final mark of a high 2:1 for my BA, or a second class, upper division award.  This grade was just two percent shy of a first class award and scored within the top ten percent of students.
