Teacher – OVEC EFL Development, Melbourne Polytechnic (Thailand) - 02/18 - 06/18
In this role, I worked as a teacher on a Melbourne Polytechnic project in partnership with OVEC (The Thai Office of Vocational Education Committee) to improve the level of functional English of teachers and directors from Thai vocational colleges, in 4 centres around Thailand, over a 3-month period. The focus of the training was on the improvement of the students’ presentation / teaching skills, in English, with the more general goal of building language skills and knowledge in the context of vocational education.

Teacher – EAP, Victoria University (LU, Shenyang, China) - 09/17 - 12/17

I have worked on three separate occasions (see below), at AABC (The Asia-Australian Business College), a joint programme between Victoria University and Liaoning University, Shenyang, China. The job involved teaching academic English to undergraduate students at Liaoning University, in preparation for diploma or degree programmes through VU, in China and Australia. The goal was to raise the level of the students’ English to a level equivalent to IELTS 6.0, with a focus on academic writing, and to a lesser extent, speaking.

Teacher – ELA & French, Nakornpayap International School, Chiang Mai - 08/16 - 07/17

In this position, I worked as a high school ELA (English Language Arts) teacher, and a middle school French teacher, at an international school in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The school used an American curriculum, and was accredited by WASC, an independent international school accreditation organisation.

I worked as an IELTS speaking examiner for the British Council’s Beijing office, in a number of cities around China, for around 18 months, whilst working in various other teaching jobs (see above).

In this position, as well as the previous position with Westgate (see below), I was an English conversation teacher, with a focus on improving the functional, spoken English of Japanese undergraduate students.

I worked in two jobs in Melbourne, Australia for several months in early 2011. I taught ESL to migrant students at Melbourne Polytechnic (then NMIT), as well as teaching information technology to high school students at a secondary college.
